Languages (day 29)

I was thinking about all of the different world languages and what might happen with them in the future. This is what I thought would happen.

China becomes allies with the US and drops mandarin
Quickly after, all symbolic languages are dropped for easier typing use (Japanese, Korean, Arabic)
Following this, the dominant languages become Spanish and English
Spanish is the street language and English is the scholars language (it's already used for math)
All other languages become obsolete and are spoken only by natives along with Spanish/English
An alien threat causes all nations to be unified under one language
This language is english (because of the US's military power)
We join a galactic society and the system is renewed
